International Training on the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory (NGHGI) for Land Use
Building national capacity to accurately estimate, report, and manage greenhouse gas emissions and removals from the land use sector.
Course Background
Understanding and reporting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and removals from land use is critical for addressing climate change
and meeting international reporting obligations. Many countries face challenges in developing robust and transparent
National Greenhouse Gas Inventories (NGHGIs) for the land use sector.
ECAS Institute recognizes the importance of accurate inventories for effective climate policy and decision-making.
This course equips national institutions with practical knowledge to build sustainable NGHGIs, aligned with
UNFCCC reporting requirements and IPCC guidelines.
