Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control Training
Course Overview
Overview
Rapid industrialization has caused widespread contamination of land, air, and water resources,
posing serious risks to human health and the environment. Extensive use of materials and energy
has further increased pressure on local, regional, and global ecosystems.
This 5-day training course provides a comprehensive orientation to methods for controlling and
preventing environmental pollution. Participants will learn fundamental principles for reducing
negative impacts on water, air, and land quality, and explore technologies and strategies to
achieve environmental quality standards.
Contamination can arise in many forms, including ground and surface water, land, air, radioactive,
food, noise, mold, odor, construction, vibration, and more. Left unmanaged, these contaminants
can lead to pollution and serious health risks. This course addresses all these types and covers
emerging methods for minimizing or eliminating contamination, the use of environmentally acceptable
products, and proper disposal methods for hazardous and non-hazardous wastes.
Objectives
Identify various types of contamination and their relevance to your organization.Facilitate discussion and collaboration on contamination issues within organizations and across regions.Understand relevant environmental agreements addressing contamination and pollution.Learn to prioritize contamination and waste management challenges systematically.Illustrate the close relationship between human health and contamination-affected environments.Explore the latest procedures for cleaning contaminated soil, water, air, construction materials, and radioactive substances.Training Methodology
This course combines expert presentations with instructor-guided interactive discussions, practical exercises,
video materials, and case studies to maximize participant engagement. Real-world examples and case studies
drawn from the instructor’s experience will stimulate discussion and provide actionable insights.
