Course Background

This advanced e-learning course equips participants with the skills to apply the Green Economy Progress (GEP) Measurement Framework developed by UNEP under PAGE. It builds on foundational concepts to enable effective country-level and global measurement of green economy progress, “beyond GDP,” supporting informed policymaking and sustainable development.

Course Objectives

Illustrate the concepts, methodology, and application of the GEP Measurement Framework.

Select appropriate indicators for country-specific applications and interpret results.

Explain how countries’ progress can be compared globally using the GEP framework.

Understand the contribution of the GEP framework to the “beyond GDP” agenda.

Measure progress on a Dashboard of Sustainability and combine with the GEP Index.
