Climate Change, Peace & Security – Online Course
Climate change is increasingly recognized as one of the greatest risks to peace and security in the 21st century. Rising temperatures, prolonged droughts, sea level rise, and extreme weather events are intensifying economic, social, and political pressures—particularly in fragile and conflict-affected settings.
This self-paced online course explores the interlinkages between climate change, peace, and security, with a strong focus on inclusive climate action, conflict prevention, and peacebuilding.
Why This Course Matters
Climate change and insecurity do not affect everyone equally. Gender norms, social identity, and inequality shape how communities experience and respond to climate-related risks.
This course integrates a gender and social inclusion lens, equipping participants with tools to analyze complex contexts and design effective interventions.
