Course Background
The right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment is increasingly recognized as a fundamental human right.
Environmental degradation, pollution, and climate change disproportionately affect vulnerable and marginalized
communities, making environmental justice central to human rights advocacy.
This ECAS Institute training explores legal, policy, and ethical frameworks linking human rights and environmental
protection. Participants analyze real-world case studies on environmental conflicts, indigenous rights,
