International Training on Integrated Planning for Nature and Biodiversity-Based Solutions to Climate Change
Course Background
As climate change intensifies, integrating nature-based solutions (NbS) and biodiversity conservation into climate action is critical. Healthy ecosystems, including forests, wetlands, and coastal habitats, provide climate mitigation, adaptation, and resilience benefits, yet many strategies fail to fully embed biodiversity into planning.
ECAS Institute designed this course to equip participants with tools, strategies, and frameworks to integrate NbS into climate adaptation and mitigation planning. Participants will explore ecosystem-based approaches in national and local climate action plans to ensure biodiversity underpins sustainable development.
Through scientific insights, policy frameworks, and real-world case studies, participants will learn how nature-based strategies enhance resilience, support livelihoods, and drive sustainable economic growth.
