INTERNATIONAL TRAINING ON INTRODUCTION TO ENVIRONMENTAL LAW, POLICY, AND GOVERNANCE
COURSE BACKGROUND
Environmental law, policy, and governance play a crucial role in shaping sustainable development and environmental protection efforts worldwide. With increasing global challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, and resource depletion, the need for effective legal frameworks, policies, and governance structures has become more urgent than ever.
This course, offered by the Environmental Capacities and Sustainability (ECAS) Institute, provides an in-depth introduction to environmental law, policy, and governance at international, regional, and national levels. Participants will explore key environmental treaties, regulations, compliance mechanisms, and enforcement strategies that guide decision-making and sustainability initiatives. The course also highlights the role of institutions, civil society, and businesses in implementing and shaping environmental governance frameworks.
Through interactive sessions, case studies, and practical exercises, this course equips participants with the legal knowledge and analytical skills necessary to navigate the complex landscape of environmental regulations and policies, ensuring effective environmental governance and sustainable resource management.

TRAINING STYLE
